Going to be swapping in an Allison 1000/2000 behind a 7.3 Ford/International diesel, and want to use the SAE housing and factory International parts bolt the transmission to the engine.
SAE3 bellhousing arrived today and I'm noticing some damage. This will be my first Allison build so I don't have an experienced enough eye to know if I should send this back or if the damage is inconsequential. Was hoping to get some more seasoned opinions.
Biggest issue is where the oil pump housing oring meets the bell housing. I'm not sure where exactly the oring sits so not sure if any of these are major issues.
These two areas might scratch the oring when putting the housing on... might be able to knock them down if need be.
These surfaces are around where the oil filter is... not sure if this is enough to compromise the gasket.
