I think that is topic has been well gone over. Connecting Rod.....Crower, Carrillo, R and R, Howards, or anyone else's. Carrillo are the cheapest that I can find and said to be the strongest. All the prices are within 500 dollars, is the only difference in price, have do to supply?

Their only about 2 months out, only 10 sets were made, I think RPM Russ has a set in something, but I may be wrong.

As of to day when I called Manley, 3 weeks and they are only making six sets. Is it worth it, I want to beable to beat on it a bit and beable to run more power in the future. Would I be better of just going with Carrillo?

We've got a set of Manley's being beat up in a built/twinned 10k lb., CC/LB LB7. This truck is loaded to the max (lift, tools, welder, bumpers, winch) and tows heavy all the time. He beats on it pretty good, time will tell. They are a great quality looking rod, compared to a Carrillo. I have a pic in one of my threads.

Ya I saw the picture, I just don't want to put a new set because they bent. From what I have seen they have only made a few sets and are not making a hole lot more anytime soon. The cheap one have ARP 2000 bolts with are 1999.95 and with ARP 625 they are 2290.95.
Is there any major benefits between the I and H designs?

Depends who you argue with. In my experience (gasser), a properly mfd I beam will be stronger AND lighter than an H beam... usually cost a bit more too.

RPM Motorsports, From first handing those rod, do you think they are up to par with everyone else, I mean will they handle over 1000HP for any amount of time? I want mine to be capable of 8 to 9 hundred HP with daily power at around 6 hundred and towing with less then that.

I can't say, but Guy spoke highly of them. I'll be picking up another set for a pull truck, as soon as Guy gets back to me. That will be the real test.

If you were building a truck for around 800hp, what would you do as far as the engine build? Basically a budget build. Are things such as damper, torque plate, valve springs, push rods, etc really needed at that level?

Guess it just depends how many penny's are in the bank. I like to over build projects. Although we did throw an LBZ together for the Chevelle with parts laying around, just to see how hard we can push it. It only has Carrillos, studs and cut LB7 pistons. It should be 1200hp capable once the grimlens are figured out. Who knows for how long though!

Not knocking anyone and I'm sure the manleys will be great, but carrillos are tested and trusted.. IMO worth couple hundred more..I would feel better about it
