Everyone posts their Kill stories. You hardly ever see an I got beat story, here it is, a kid from the next town over has a Fox body 5.0 with a Pro-Charger and a mild motor, running a 10.5 ET Street slick, we lined up and he beat me by a car length, I really couldn't launch it too hard, I have my tbars cranked to clear the 33's, I have broken 3 axles in the past launching too hard with the bars turned up, I am pretty happy with losing to that car by only a car, hell its a PROCHARGED Mustang!!

Maybe if I lower the bars and run smaller tires I'll get him??? We will see....;)

Nice! I always looked at things it your perspective anyways... Most guys who do lose to fast cars, it's only by a short length.....and we weight A LOT more, and can do A LOT more with our trucks!

I agree, when you lose at least admit they beat you fair and square instead of making excuses. I put a Camaro on the trailer the first night I tested Blackie with an 8.7 1/8th. He seemed mad or something but never said a word so i don't know what happened. I bragged alot about Blackie and when I took it to the track I could't drive it good enough to get better then a 13.0xx. Total driver error. shut me up and humbled me at the same time. I am still trying to learn how to launch these beasts, totally different then a car.

Yeah I'm not one of those "My truck is so fast" guys, anyone asks, I'll tell them it goes ok...... I don't need to be padded on the back for anything rather be the humble one. I'll admit I lost, hey the other kid was like good job man, your truck is quick. So it was just a good time all for fun.

My mistake was just excitement. I finished his truck and honestly have never driven something that pulled like it did from 50mph up to 100+mph. I have had fast cars and a very fast Luv but this thing was ridiculous and I spouted off something about 3 or 4 seconds from 60 to 1xx and got called out for BS. It got very ugly and I was just as bad as I was when I was 16 with an 11 sec Luv. My head was so big I needed help carring it. Since then I have calmed down and lost the chip and realized how stupid and immature I was acting at 39 years old:eek:. So when Blackie is running again with these twins you guys may need to keep me in check:hug::rofl:.
The most inportant thing about racing is to have fun and see where your limit is as well as your vehicles limit is and to remember no matter how fast you are there will be someone, somewhere that will spank you bad:D

just think a car length thats not bad at all when you think of a 3500 lb mustang when we have a 8 or 9000 lbs truck. i say good job. :thumb:
