I've got the standard clevite in mine with 2 years and 10,000 miles. Might check them out when I got the motor out. There's a few of use atleast with the regular non h

I would not use P bearings in a high HP diesel engine. Cylinder pressure will cause premature wear using them. H bearings are the proper ones to use. They hold many times better than the P bearings. Eccentricity is different as well. H bearings carry more load than the P bearings. Don't go the cheapest route.

When I did my rods just recently, the rods are marked "A" and "B". Depending on which letter is stamped on the rod, determines which color bearing you need.

part numbers i used.
19209593 Connecting rod bearing kit. Bearings have green marking, grade code 2.
97250338 Connecting rod bearing kit. Yellow with connecting rod stamped with letter "B"

Do you think i need to tear mine down And check it? They haven't always had the H out so afaik anyone who built there's years ago almost woulda had to use p. mines a strictly pulling truck it doesn't have road miles anymore

I put 65k on my first build before cracking a piston. There was a pretty good bit if wear showing on the bearing halves from cylinder pressures. They were suppose to have been H but were not. I have taken the motor apart since with the H bearings and wear has been excellent. Even at over 1000hp wear has been excellent. I would just keep good awareness to oil pressure differences and engine noises. That is about all you can do except tear it down. Just don't run it until you turn a bearing and ruin the crank or worse block. I'm not trying to make you overly excited about it but that is the reality of things that could go wrong for you.
