Paul , have you looked at the "quick spool valve" . iirc E.D. sells it , maybe not . do a search on compd , there is a thread talking about them

We have used them on 6.0 and 6.4's with bigger singles since they don't spool turbos very well. They do help but at a cost. The ones we use are fully open at 14 psi

what do you mean "at a cost " ? as in money or hurts performance in other ares of the rpm?

You get what you pay for with the spool flanges. Sound Performance makes on that you can make work on a DMax and it warped (at a cost of over $400). I tried another prototype (not from BD either) and the small button head cap screws that were used to attach the diverter valve to the shaft did not survive the exhaust gas temp (although the rest of the unit did just fine).

The spool flanges do a nice job of spooling a large wheel/AR housing. Material selection and workmanship are worth the investment. Just my opinion.

exactly, the BD stuff is worth it for the quality alone.

Southern diesel makes one too, its $550, but the BD piece is still much nicer and worth the extra coin.
