All I see a snowbank. Where's the truck? In the garage?

My Orbitals are 10Wx6½Dx7½H. Size 34/78

Thanks for the measurments :thumb: I did go dig it out today....I tried starting my truck with a single battery and it only cranked over about 3 times then that was it. I think it maybe because the truck has the origonal batteries from 01 in it still. They are delco batteries that are 770 CCA. For all those that are running a single what brand and size you running?

Orbitals are 1000cca @ 32*, 770cca @ 0*. Ive been very happy with their performance. They've been in the truck for 4-1/2 years now. No issues at all.

02bigstrokin is running a single optima red top 800cc. It does fine in most weather but if you have to crank it over for an extended period of time like if you ran it out of fuel and had to re-prime the system. It will not last that many cranks.

I'm sure he will chime in.

Chili?

I live in Canada & have gone thru some very cold weather with no problems. As a matter of fact the stock AC Delco batteries could not handle the -30 temps & let me down. Of course the dealer would not warranty them.

I've had one battery go bad back when my truck was a few months old. GM warrantied it and haven't had a problem since.
Personally I would stay away from gel cell batteries if you live in cold climates. Most of them are junk after -20C in my experience. The Excide orbitals are a great battery. If you sign up with NHRDA there is a wicked deal on Optima's in their discount book!!

i went out and bought a new bosch battery today. It was all i could find around here. I got a 850CCA, 1000CA. It started the truck up fine. Guess my batteries were just junk. What did you all do with the extra set of battery cables going to the pass side? i tied them out of the way for now cuz it got dark on me....
