Ok,, so I'm gonna have the cab off, engine and trans out and have been thinking,, anyone go to a single battery and relocate it just for the sake of opening up the engine compartment?? I'll be loosing the factory fuel filter as well and was thinking about putting the battery on the frame and cleaning up the underhood area even futher.
Thoughts???

We built a bracket that mounts under the passenger door like the military mount. Only using one battery currently but made it big enough to hold 2.

I went to a single battery and moved my coolant tank and fuse box to the back corners. I'm planning to relocate two batteries between the frame rails under the grill though. It'd be a pita but I think it'd clean things up a bit. Plus it'd still have the skid plate under them.

I trimmed the whole thing down to just the main square (if that makes sense), moved the box back a bolt on the fenderwell (the vertical support ones), then bolted the box back down to the wheel tub itself. Didn't have to lengthen a single wire. I did trim the "skirt" of the box too far up though. Gotta see if I can find another one somewhere to hide the wires better.
Shoot me a text and I'll get you a picture.

That looks really nice mounted there. I may do the same, there is just to much crammed around the engine and moving the batteries would free up alot of space.
Im diggin it! :thumb:
