Battery Recommendations

Well my batteries started to get weaker starting a few weeks ago then they died on me while I was in the mountains and again this morning. So I'm looking for new ones, good ones, big ones, monster ones!

that talked about the optimas. I've heard good and bad things about them, that they need a special charger or they dont have the deeps cycle necessary for a diesel and such.

So what recommendations do you guys have?

Ive had the red top optimas in mine for the last 6 1/2 years. When my dad first bought the truck the factory ones went out in a year. he switched to optimas in 03 and has had the same one since i bought it. I have ran these dead several times playin music out of the truck and have only jumped started it and let it run for an hour to recharge. They are just startin to get a little weak with these cold mornins up here but she still fires up right away and will play my music at a moderate level for 4-5 hours no prob.

I reccomend interstates. Their mtp is by far the best. 5 year warranty also.

I have the Optima Yellow Top batteries. Been good so far!

The New Delcos are having terminal problems.

The Newer Red Top optimas are JUNK.

Now the yellow optimas are still good, but pricey.

My friend bought 2 new Duralast gold batteries for his Dmax last year and they have been good also.

It's hard to find Interstate batteries around here. I haven't tried their dealer locater yet though as I'm not in the market yet. I thought the Yellow top Optima's were recommended for our trucks ??

My truck has the red tops in there dont know for sure how long they have been in there cause i bought the truck used 2 years ago. But they seem to be like good batteries

Stay away from AC Delco shit. They fk'd me on the warranty.... twice. Had red tops in my old truck, seemed to be ok.
