Can you believe banks say they can outperform PPE. I'd like to see them try it with a truck with a built tranny. On ther DP, Banks Power is fighting people trying to say banks is better than PPE, but 1800 degrees? Come on.

I can say that the 6-gun stacked with the PPE is quite a power house, but the Banks WILL not out power the PPE, by a long shot.

So unless they can "modifie" off the shelf tuning somehow they got a way to go..... to catch PPE.

How pathetic. Banks is reaching for straws. Cant say I'm sorry for them, though. They have made their own bed.
Guess they figure if they saturate the market with their marketing BS, then more gullible people out there will buy it.

I spoke with folk at Banks about that both before the testing and after. I don't agree that is the correct way to advertise their product. But they are certainly not unique in the diesel aftermarket in that aspect.

You have to respect PPE quite a bit. They are involved one way or another with hundreds of 12 second or quicker trucks, more than any other single diesel shop.

i give it to them for their marketing dept, either way their name is out there and all a new "diesel virgin" has to do is ask a salesman that sells banks and it is over.

With out PPE today the Duramax would not be as fast... from shim kits/race valves, turbo kits, programming, and everything else they offer. Banks is misrepresenting their and others products... Im sure the Six Gun is set to kill while the PPE is at the 1 or 2 setting. If you had 2 trucks with built transmissions and then you put both to kill you there we be probably close to a full second difference in the final results.

For racing, PPE and EFILive have given us more tools than any other source. That is why I've always worked closely with them since I was introduced to them.

But Banks makes some great products too, but few are aimed at the racing market. I think the Six Gun is a good performing product that is an excellent choice for many applications.

That 7o Chevy PPE built is sweet as hell. I'd like to see that one in person someday.

It gets old seeing the 4 page color Banks spectacular ads in diesel Power every month.

No wonder every one who doesnt know diesels thinks Banks is the ONLY powerhouse. Kinda like they think A K+N gives ya 25 horse

Untill i can get some switchable EFI live tuning i will stick with my PPE tuning, Been putting a smile on my face for over a year now.

Pat , you were right, its the best handheld on the market. I appreciated the advice you gave some time ago.

Did you know they converted Arnold Schwarzeneggar's Jeep over to a Duramax/Biodiesel a while back? They do some very cool things over there. They are King of the Dmax swap. The military Hummer was wild too. It ran 12's on fuel at 8000+ lbs IIRC.

Why do you think Diesel5, who built that diesel Grand National, actually used a Diesel Cutlass body?
