I have a 2004 Duramax with the Banks Ram Air System on it. Winter is coming and I was wondering if anybody out there nows of a way to stop the system from sucking up snow with out removing the scoop for the winter or putting an obnoxious cover over the bottom of the scoop.

i have a 3" rubber pvc pipe cap that i put over my custom ram air intake duct to keep rain and what not out of my intake, maybe you could find something at home depot that would work.

Try not to put it in the snowbank. :D

I leave mine on as well. Haven't had a problem with it yet. There is a cover in the intake housing. If you feel uncomfortable about the scoop, take that cover off. That way, if you do get snow in the scoop, it will just pull air from the fender. or in that general area.
