2020 Derringer review video below
2020, AT4, 3500, SRW (all pulls in 7th gear, TC off, TH on)
We received our Banks Derringer with iDash at the beginning of the week, and had some free time to get it installed and strapped to the Dyno at Zmod Motorsports in Rancho Cordova. I wanted to see how close the numbers are to what’s advertised by Banks, before hitting the track to see what the ET/MPH change is (soon to come). Seeing that a Dyno is a tool, and most know that numbers from Dyno to Dyno differ,, we are comparing OUR stock HP pull to OUR lvl6 pull. In the graph below we picked up 89hp/105ftlb torque. While the 105ftlb of torque reads lower than the 144ftlb that Banks advertises,, they also only made 950ftlb with their 2500 test truck, where our 3500 made 1012ftlb. I’ve herd the torque limiting on the 3500’s is different than the 2500’s, but I’ll leave that up to the engineers to figure out . The derringer took about 30min to install here in the shop, it was pretty simple and straight forward. All in all, great product, great quality, real world advertised numbers, zero smoke... click link below for the video.
