So I have a BCAI on my truck right now. It is nice, but is it really necessary on a truck that is running little more than stock? I have read a few times on here that the stock intake will support up to 500hp. Is this true? If it is maybe I will sell the Banks. I would appreciate any thoughts!

In my humble newb opinion, keep the banks. It is superior in design, you have it installed already and you wont get what was paid in return for it. If anything i would say add the super scoop to it to get some more sweet cold air to your intake.

Sounds like I'll leave it in. I have been happy with it. I have just been going through the truck and cleaning out useless things. So if it is a large improvement over stock then I will leave it. Thanks for the advice!

So I am gonna address this issue again(sorry). Looking at my stock setup, it really does not look a whole lot different than the Banks. Other than the filter itself. At the moment I have the stocker back on. I moded the stock airbox and I will run a few tanks of fuel through it. So far I can hardly tell the difference. EGTs are a little higher, but that is it.

Don't think you will see any change between the two. IIRC is the big scoop bad about taking in water?
