Question-- is a plus reading injector, a over-fuel, or under-fuel- condition?? Then of course a minus is the oposite.

I have the Torque Pro, for my phone and checked the Balance rates of the injectors--I had two that were out of range. Number 2 was high 9, and # 4 was 6. I ran GM cleaner through the fuel lines and it got a little better, but not a lot-!

I will probably replace them. Thanks

A positive rate is not an over fueling condition, a negative is. A positive number means the ECM is adding fuel and a negative means it is subtracting. Did you do the cleaning process with the lines disconnected at the engine with the half gallon of diesel mixed with the 13 ounces of Injector and upper cylinder cleaner? Any other issues with it running? Other problems can cause high number such as low compression or anything else causing an issue on that specific cylinder.

It runs great and idles good- no miss or surging. I did the CM cleaner with 1/2 gallon diesel mix, and ran it 15 minutes at idle, 15 minutes at 1200, and 15 minutes at 1800, with the high idle switch.

I did replace the head gaskets about a 1k miles back -- just a preventive maintenance. I think I will re-adjust the valves and check the compression.

Thanks, Jerry

Did you do the valve adjustment when you did the gaskets? I think the compression test is a good idea, more than likely the motor is fine. At least this way you know though, it will keep you from chasing a fuel problem if there is a compression issue.
