I'm a current member on other gmas forums but figured i'd post here as I'm changing fuels. How do you remove the badge on an 06 silly? Also what prep/paint methods and materials do you suggest? Thanks,

Are u talkin about the 2500hd, duramax and the side panel trim? If so I use a heat gun to warm the adhesive and it pulls off. Some residue will be left and I use a 3m eraser wheel on a die grinder. Super lightly and slow it comes off. Then just wax it after.

Be careful to not burn thru clear coat. Don't push hard

The factory paint/lining on the badge is peeled halfway off, just going to paint it either white or black with a clearcoat to seal it off.

Gotcha. I had same deal on mine. I put a billet one in but if u were to paint one, make sure there's plenty of clear coat on there. Lots of bugs and rocks hit the front often.

It is pretty easy, just remove the black plastic cap that connects the grill to the core support on the top. The rest of the grill just clips in, and should pop out with a little effort. The actual bow tie is held in with 2 10mm nuts. Pretty straight forward man.
