Im new to the diesel family and was just wondering what are some signs of bad injectors. What got me curious was i was at a stop sign and started out slow and decided to floor it to see what would happen. I noticed as it took off it blew some black smoke and suddenly smelled some fuel. Are these signs of bad injectors? I know it idles just fine and runs great.

A puddle of fuel/oil all over the ground. Mine shook a little bit at stops in drive.

06 lbz 138,000 miles all stock. It doesnt smoke at all unless i floor it and still its not much smoke. I was wondering if they all do that or if that smoke is a indication of a bad injector or just dont worry about it at all.

Black smoke is OK. White/blue smoke is not good. Dealer or pretty much anyone with a handheld tuner can check your balance rates for you. +/- 4.0 i believe is the acceptable variance.

Personally I don't think you have a whole lot to worry about but I would check them to be sure. If your truck runs funny or feels under powered a common neglected easy solution is to change the fuel filter.

LBZs dont really have that many issues with injectors. Almost sounds like you have a small tune in the ECM. If its running good, leave it alone.
