LB7: Bad inj. Cup symptoms

Is their a difference in symptoms of loose cup or gasket? Have hard hose and using water but not leaking, had it wanna hydro lock on me today upon start up. I know it's a time bomb but it does have 307k and heads have never been off!!

Yes I already know its probably gonna need gaskets!!! It's planned!

Not really. Pretty much identical symptoms. However, every truck acts differently.....some will smoke white, some wont.....same goes for coolant in oil, pressurized cooling system, soot in coolant etc....

I believe you will have coolant in the oil if you lift a cup. it only makes sense anyway

well it is emptying coolant tank in a week, haven't seen any water in oil yet, but the hydo-lock got me thinking about it today.

ok got an update kinda, truck is now parked because it is emptying the coolant bottle in about 15min and its not going out of overflow, starting to have moisture on the oil cap, we are leaning toward a lifted cup. It is now developed a serious skip and fuel/coolant smoke, so looks like a tear down is on the way!!!
