Well went back to Track last night to try and improve my times..Same everything as my 11.7 run on Sunday only netted me a 12.0..I have no idea what happened..I know it was very Humid it actually misted rain for a few min..Could this be my problem? My MPH was 4 Tenths faster on the 12.0 run than on the 11.7 run also..I made another run and it was 12.2 on that pass I looked at my Fuel Pres.Gauge and it was at 0 half way through the run..I think I need to keep more than a 1/4 tank of fuel in it.I've noticed loss of power when the fuel pres drops on the lift pump..

It could be a number of things. Such as hot fuel due to you running it so low, hot weather, humid weather, low bottle of NOS, bad track prep, tire air pressure not right, to name a few.

I wish I knew..It's not the Nitrous. Just filled it. It must be the Humidity..It was like 90%..I don't think it liked the thick hot air.. But 3 tenths ?? Thats alot, Just weird B/C the MPH was a little better than the 11.7 run..

Humidity can certainly affect NA engines, but has little effect on nitrous engines. Believe it or not, water vapor is lighter than air is.

An oxygen molecule is two oxygen atoms, ditto for nitrogen. IIRC, an oxygen molecule weighs 32 (16*2), and a nitrogen weighs 28 (14*2). A water vapor molecule is H20, which is 1+1+16, or 18. In a gas, there are same number of molecules in a given volume, so water vapor "gas" is lighter than normal air. But all air has water vapor in it. Carbon dioxide weighs 12+16+16, which makes it heavy.

I might have the specific numbers wrong, but you get the idea. Took me a long time to understand how water could be heavier than air.

WHY? If water was lighter then air, it could NEVER rain, we would not have water on earth, and we would have all died off a long time ago. I am a dummy, and I understand that.

I just have Sleeves Craig.. The video of the launch shows the front tires flexing all over the place..I have no idea how i'm getting a 1.7 60' time every now and then..But i guess theres room for improvment???
