Last 4 trips, with a trailer on hills, and with fuel temps of 120 or higher.
Today I am headed back with a 30 ft 5th wheel. So rarely get a back haul that I only had enough fuel to get home empty. Fuel was staying 120 or higher, 6 times threw an 87 driviing across MD. Got fed up and stopped for fuel. Temps droped to below 100 and no more 87s

I have a tsb at home and there is a thread at DF with the tsb in it.

Gm says the rubber line inbetween the tank and filter collaspes from suction when its hot

The tsb lists a parker part # and says go find it. Cut off the rubber line and double clamp the new one on.

So, is there any aftermarket replacement line that I could swap it all out for? Or just do it the way GM says?

Had to be my problem today. Was loosing power + speed on hills. Then when I filled the factory tank, it was like a totally differnt truck, pulling the hills and maintaining speed. I don't usuall pull with so little fuel, but backhauls are rare and I've been trying to keep the truck a. Bit lighter

My return line is kinked like hell by the fire wall. It was making me blow the fuel lines off the fuel rail.

Minewith the new stock motor is doing the same thing. I have a lift pump so I don't think it's a line. I did just put a ppe valve in with no change. I raced last night with a full tank and it didn't help. I sure wish I could find the answer. I'm thinking a week pump on mine anyhow. Hope you find the problem. Jeff

Mine was doing it with the PPE race valve in the fuel rail. I took it out, put 3 shims in a new LBZ valve and haven't had an issue since.

Found a parker supplier. If they have it in stock I'll have it Monday

Anyone else wants some the thread at df said $6 per ft and 3 foot was enough. Let me know

Can that braided line collapse?

Followed my line up from the tank, no kinks, and what I could feel felt good.

But the foot or so right where it goes into the factory filter felt soft. Soaked it in the kitchen sink in hot water until the wife chased me out, was a lot softer then. I'll start with that section

Local Parker supplier didnt have it in stock, but had it at their metro Detroit store. $4.xx per foot with a $30 minimum. I got 7 feet on the way.
