Like the title says, I been keeping my eyes out for the right deal on an lly and finally pulled the trigger on one. I traded in my yota and got a hell of a deal on it.
It's a 2005 white crew cab 4x4 work truck edition.
Imitation tan leather seats, vinyl floors, manual windows and locks. It's got just over 138k miles on it. The best part of the truck is there is no gooseneck ball in the bed, and the Reese hitch has almost no wear inside. It even has the paint still inside of the tube where the receiver slides in and the pin goes. I may be wrong but that all leads me to believe she had a nice easy life. Plus the seats are mint, the drivers seat is even missing the signature "Chevy rip".
The only issues I've found is the failing cluster like every other 05 out there (twitchy tach, bad oil pressure gauge, and no light behind the water temp) and it says "service airbag" across the screen.
I put my 255/85/16 toyo mt's off my yota on it, raised the torsion bars only slightly, and lowered the rear 2.5" to level it out.
My plans for it down the road are:
Air box mod
Single turbo back 4" exhaust
Efi live with dsp5
Lift pump and filters of some kind
Pump rub kit
Swap the towing mirrors for the small standard mirrors
Color matched fender flares, bumper filler, valance, mirrors and door handles.
I'd love to convert it to oem power windows and locks (if anyone knows a way to do that using oem parts without breaking the bank Id love to hear)
I'd also like to convert the front center seat to a tan leather flip up center console/seat.
Here's some pics of it. The first one is before I left the lot. Second is after my tires went on and lowered the rear and raised the front a little.
