If your going to pull alot there is are 39 spline shafts and a spool available. But Im guess thats not what your after. You definetely have a 11.5 ring gear AAM. I dont know why the dealer would be confused about that. Stock is probably the best option. You can get ones from Yukon and Moser I think too, but its debatable whether or not there strong that stock.

really? you dont think stronger than stock. well i was leanin on stock due to the fact i would like to keep axles the week link since they are the least expensive even at near 500 each. yeah one dealer did not ask which axle i had and one did even with the vin. but i figured the larger even with a 2500

the rear is definately a 11.5 AAM axle. The only option that im aware of is Tony's full spool and big axle setup. There pricey but will hold about anything,.

I think you can get stockers cheaper than that. Maybe see if you can get the wholesale price. But if they wont beat that. You can get stock replacment yukons for less that $300

I didn't know moser made axles for our truck? Doesn't SCS make axles too?

I thought moser did, I might be wrong though. SCS I dont believe makes axles for the AAM 11.5" not last I heard at least though. But the general concesus from the dodge D80 guys seems to be they wont hold, lots and lots of twisted shafts, even in 2.6. The rest of the stuff they make is bad ass though. The problem with there d80 shafts is there the same size as stock, just beefier material. Haisley's 37 splines seem the way to go for a D80 though. I was going to run a D80 with SCS's until I did a little research. So I picked up a AAM 11.5" up for $300 instead.

Moser does make axles. They are not much if any stronger then stock IMHO. SCS did but last I talked to them the where out of stock. It has been awile though. I run the 39spline axles and spool from Tony Burkhardt. Very nice but not street truck stuff.

well just pulled it apart and definately an axle. the driver side and what started to seem like easy fix got alil more complicated after closer inspection the locker assembly has about 8 teeth broken off the locker assembly. the spiders are ok but the small teeth behind the inside spider are sheered as well as the little actuater teeth. so now what is that locker capable of being disassembled and does gm sell individual parts or is that a buy the whole assembly deal??

I have a complete G80 here if you need it.

the G80 will replace your locker... Dodges used them... they're supposed to be stronger.

I have friends that run all four - Stock, moser, SCS and Tony's.

With the SCS, one is a 2.6 truck and one is a 2.8 truck. The 2.8 truck snapped one two weekends ago. :( The 2.6s look alright but they haven't had a chance to really hook on em yet. I think these are a fair bit stronger than stock and probably a happy medium between stock and the ones Tony has.

Another 2.8 truck is running Tony's and hasn't hurt them yet.

Another 2.6 friend has Mosers and he broke one (it's twisted) AND the diff. guts a couple pulls ago. I think they are only marginally stronger than stock but they are less than that price you just mentioned for stockers also. Won't be much good if they're out of stock though. :(

Good luck

The G80 is the stock locker that comes in our truck. Dodges use a helical gear operated torque sensing limited slip differential that works off the same principal as the Detroit TrueTrac.

let us know how it holds up. Im suprised that your breaking rear axles with the setup in your sig. No dual fuelers or anything like that?
