Well, i keep looking around for a Duramax that's an 07.5+ truck and was curious as to how many miles is TOO many miles. I only wanna spend like 25k. What milage is way too much? I see a lot with around 140xxx which im assuming is fine, as everyone says "diesels last forever" so i have NO clue what to be looking out for. any help would be great.

you can get them all day for 25k with less miles here.. (AZ)

I see em 15k and up. But then there is the guy with an 02 and wants 25k??

I have 220k + miles.. the last 120+ has had a lot of fuel added on.:D Still runs like a champ, just not as quite as a newer one.

Yeah a lot of the prices around here seem pretty steep. I've never bough a vehicle so I wonder how much they'd drop it. Plan would be sell the current truck and get approved for a loan for the rest of it. But I don't want ridiculous miles. It would suck IMO to get a new to me truck and see 2xxxxx miles when I get in just cause I got a good deal on it.

I bought an 06 with 95k on it for 25 a month ago. Just need to look, and be willing to drive. For what it is worth, my last concern would be the engine. One of the first trucks I went to go look at looked great, was newer, and had 15k more miles on it (same asking price) it had impact damage on the frame, a bad wear pattern on the overload springs, needed new tires (they rotated the tires, took the bald tires off the front and put them on the inside duals on the rear) and the front bump stops were broken. Two days later, I found the one I bought, had to drive 3 hours to get it, but it fit my needs better (I spend time in a city environment, not fun with a dually.) Don't be afraid to look out of state.

Oh I've been looking in all of the southeast pretty much that's within like 500 miles. I know exactly what I want and am in no rush to sell my truck until I find its replacement. Only reason I was hopin to by semi local to have my mechanic check it out

I bought my 05 ccsb loaded with the 12" lift, gears, and amp steps already installed with 95k miles last year for 20k. It is a waiting game. I seriously just waited for the right truck to pop up for sale for about 6 months before I found mine.
