Autometer Z Series Fuel pressure

I just installed my autometer z series electronic fuel pressure gauge, i am using merchants fuel filter adapter for the sensor, when i turn the key on i hear the buzz that the gauge makes, but then turn the vehicle on and 0 pressure is reading at idle, and while driving. Could it be a bad gauge, or sensor?!

Are you running a lift pump?

Not yet, airdog 2 going on within the next few days

then the gauge will always read 0 till you put a lift pump on. the CP3 creates a vacuum and sucks the fuel from the tank. thats how it gets its fuel in a stock truck.
