Auto insurance

ANyone have specialty auto insurance that will cover your modifications?

I was sitting in the truck watching the storm, and it sure would suck to have it totaled out with all the money I have in it.

Anyone know of companies that do this?
Or is one best to rip off twins, gauges, tranny etc. if something was to ever happen....and take your chances?

I do through AUTO OWNERS. I have WAY to much money tied up in my conversion to not have it. Book value for my BURB was only about $3500-4500 they said, but I got it covered for $25K on a stated value policy and it only cost me an extra $13 every 6 months to get the extra coverage.

Cool, I checked their site out, and not one really close to me.
I have an email into GEICO, to see if they offer this.

I have Allstate and they said they would cover anything on my truck as long as I have reciepts

geico is telling me to go under uninsured motorists...don't think that's what I want..maybe so I'll have to call em.

Underinsured motorist if if someone else is at fault and their insurance isn't enough to cover damages to your truck.....your co pays you and then they go after the person for the money....saves you from the legal trouble of going after them in civil court. I have it because it is cheap but it doesn't do any good if my truck gets hit by hail or I wrap it around a tree

exactly, that's what I was looking for. I want coverage if a tree falls on it and such.

Fallen trees and hail is covered under comprehensive coverage. It has a deductible on how much you want to pay first and they pay the rest.

My insurance company said that mine is basically a policy that they would normally wright for a conversion van as they are normally stated value policies beings they are all custom. I did have to take pictures of the BURB from all 4 angles as well as interior and underhood shots showing the actual modifications to get them to wright it.

My INS company just wants a close guess what i have in my truck then they cover the truck for 55,000 only adds alittle to the payment a month
