I don't think you can build your own tunes with the AutoCal. I think it works just like a hand held tuner. It has to be loaded with tunes by the person you purchase it from. Hopefully Cindy will see this and set me straight if I'm wrong.

As I understand it, the AUTOCAL is mostly up to who you buy it from as to what it can do. It still has to be licensed under a V2 in order for it to work as it was designed for tuners with EFILIVE already to keep from having customers send there ECM's back and forth for tune changes. Also it is licensed to one vehicle and one vehicle only as I understand it as well. Once it is matched with a module, that is the only one it can be used with(I may have misunderstood this, but its how it was explained to me).

AutoCal isn't a self tuning device - it was never made to perform that function; that's what FlashScan V2 is for.

AutoCal is a remote tuning device; to be activated it needs to be physically linked to FlashScan V2 and licensed for the first use, after that initial match AutoCal can function remotely.

AutoCal has 8 license slots, so can be married to different modules provided they are also licensed.

It was designed with 3 users in mind:
- Mail Order tuners to replace posting ECM's (especially for tune refinement)
- Provide hardware and a cost effective mechanism for specialised tuners to compete with Handhelds
- the Jobber market where someone sells a product (ie Camshaft) and needs to modify the vehicles tune to suit that modification.

Cheers
