Thought everyone might like to know that due to a change in fitment regulations Discount Tire Co. will no longer fit 285s to stock rims. If you have 285s that you purchased from there and you have the road hazard certificates and one is ruined they will replace all 4 tires with 265/75-16 for just the price of new certificates! I had two nails about a half inch apart in one of my back tires that was clearly too low on tread to require them to warranty it but due to the liability they replace all 4 tires on my truck for $72 dollars! I couldnt hardly believe it. When i remember how to upload pics ill get some pics of the tread up along with one of the receipt for anyone who thinks im lying lol

It wasn't a problem here until a month ago. I personally don't see the problem at all with it, I put 54,000 miles on my 285 terra grapplers without any issues but if they're going to offer me free tires ill take them

Nice work on the new rubber

Walmart Will only mount what the door sticker says a buddy with a denali went to walmart to get new tires on his 05 or 06 he picked out some nice 18 inch rubber and they pulled the truck in and then they came up to him and said sorry we cant mount these on your wheels and he sai why not they are factory and factory size. They took him over to the truck and the door showed 20s :spit: Somewhere along the line someone switched wheels tires and put the same wheel only in 18 inch on his truck.

Rusk, Tx. Again
Here in Anchorage, Sam's Club will not mount 265's on the 2500 trucks. Only 245's. They will do it for the 1500's and 3500's. I asked them why and they looked on their computer and showed me there list of what goes on what. 245 was the only tires listed for the 2500. People use Sam's club for their winter swap to studded tires. They are cheap at $38. Most all the other shops around town charge at least $80 for a truck.
