Have my damper sitting here planning on installing it tonight, have been soaking the bolt all day today, and have a 3/4 drive breaker bar and 36mm 12 point socket. Do I need a special install tool? I have been told both yes and no about 10 times now. Also will i be able to hold the flywheel with a pry bar to break the bolt loose?

Thanks

You need a flywheel lock and install tool to draw the balancer on...also just food for thought the balancer should be honed to spec..

Ya I have the flywheel lock or something that is going to work. In the instructions its says do not hone it?? What you are saying is this is not a bolt on piece?

Crank should be measured and id of balancer measured then press is desided....this is the proper way not saying people do it

There was a company that had a crystal ball they rubbed it and it told them the size of your crank snout then they machined there balancer to fit

Any machine shop should be able to hone it I am guessing? Im not trying to be a smartass but its very hard to measure it as I have limited tools and have to drive the truck...
