ARP Main Stud side bolt kits

I kit purchesed from Guy did not come with any torque specs. I call both Guy and ARP. Torque mains to 200ftlbs and side bolts to 86ftlbs. The mains studs need to be cycled at least four times before final assembly just like headstuds. You will need to have the block line honed.

just a question i hvae bought arp main studs and they fit they said i dont need to line hone? so y do they line hone

Did you get the kit with side bolts? What torque spec did they give you?

If it is 200ftlbs you will need to line hone. My clearence from bearing to crank was .0008 before line hone. It is now .0027. Much better. I would not want anything under .002. I pefer .0025 to .003.

Moly is a lube, generally comes in a greasy paste form.

ARP sells moly assembly lube, but they just buy it from someone else.
