ARP Headstuds Needed?

My 2004.5 LLY is showing symptoms of a leaking head gasket. If I keep the stock turbo, is there a benefit to ARP studs when I replace the head gaskets? I read somewhere that if I am keeping the boost under 40 psi I am OK with the stock head bolts. I'm going to replace with the C gaskets.

Stock turbo, S&B intake, egr blocked, PPE Hot +2 tuner, FASS 150, fuel shim, Suncoast Stage 4.

Thanks,

Bud

With the rep lly's have for head gasket issues I would stud it. Also make sure you get your heads checked & surfaced.

You torque the heads down more with studs, they don't have the stretch to yield factor the stock bolts have. And you can reuse studs where the stock ones you can't. Just tq them down and recheck the studs after letting them sit 24 hours. The you can get a little movement when you check tq, ( do not loosen after you torque the head down you will damage the head gasket.
