Are my expectations out of line?

I had my EGT gauge quit and contacted Danin/DiPricol the manufacture about replacing/fixing it. The guy at tech support said the gauge was bad not just the probe based on what it was doing. So I ordered a new from them it didn't help so they sent me another new one thinking it was bad. Same thing so after 3 months of waiting for it they finely get me a probe and my original gauge works again. I contacted them about returning the 2 gauges I have and getting a refund. I think a refund for the full price of the gauge is fair since they told me the gauge was bad. I would eat the cost of the shipping of the first gauge and the return shipping of both. Nope they want to charge me $50 for shipping and a a restocking fee. I got the probe for free since they have a life time warranty, but that isn't much help since I bought a new one a while back since they where jacking me around for the probe.

I have been having similar issues with my Autometer probe's going bad a couple times a year. I have bought 3 probes and got one free one in the last two years

I would think if they where a good company they would give your money back and pay for shipping. Did you talk to some one higher up in the chain of command? Sometimes it helps to talk to a supervisor. If you tried all of that, then you should tell as many people as you can about them so people will think twice about spending money with them!

Thats what I'm thinking, but I'm going to try and talk to someone else and see what else I can do. I though they where gone already hence me going else ware for the probe.

Put them in Marketplace over on DP and they will sell for almost new price since they are new. Lots of guys looking for one of those at a good price. It's a good place to sell things. I've sold everything ever listed in there within a week. Just letting somebody know how to clean out the garage in a common sale area those guys look at alot.
