Are baro and map sensors interchangeable?

I broke my Map sensor doing the turbo install and I don't want to pay $120 dollars for a new one.

or maybe Super glue:mad:

they look the same but have different part numbers. i think you need bolth of them unless you change your tolerances so you dont trip a fault. rockauto has them for 80 bucks i think.

They have diff part #'s like stated above, I've changed both already. If I remember correctly, they operate off of different voltages

Would it hurt to drive it without it functioning for a week. I have one I can get for free but it will probably be a week before I can get it

I could drive the Blazer but if it isn't going to cause issue I would rather drive the duramax besides I just got the new turbo on :woott:

I would assume they would be the same

If you can glue the sensor back together, you should be able to drive it. I drove on a broken MAP for a while, must have done it when I installed the intake horn. I didnt even know it til I rebuilt the engine.

I don't think it can be too bad since it wont read past 28psi anyways and the truck is making 38 psi of boost
