Wasn't expecting this while driving 60 mph down to the gas station.

What kind of car? If its a newer GM vehicle that doesn't pop up unless you selected it with the buttons. But if its a brand new rental car I could see it. They get the cars delivered from the dealer and give them to their first customer without even looking inside of it.
