Anyone weld to their stock manifolds?

I've got a set of Kodiak manifolds and up pipes and i'm going to do a little switch-a-roo with the flanges.

So before I cut up 2 pairs of good parts i'm wondering if anyone has done such a thing before.

Oh and i searched but came up empty.

My old turbo setup was a set of kodiaks we cut the elbow off of and welded a rewelded a flange on. No issues.

High nickel rod IIRC.

I have welded on Kodiak manifolds. Pre-heated them with a torch and mig welded them. Might not be the correct way but its holding up fine.

Mine were tig welded.

Were would be a good place to get a clamp style flange for these things those old flanges gets in the way of my water hook up

PPE, Rick DLance, Race Parts Solutions and Trent all have different size V band kits.

Just make sure it's a good heavy kit. Lots of heat and easy to warp the cheapos.
