Anyone had this happen?

So I was replacing my cp3 pump and noticed that pulley has cracked in 4 different spots, it's a ATS pulley, thought this was pretty odd.


03 2500hd lb7, ccsb 4x4, built engine, fingers oval pistons, carrillos,3388af cam, s366, 60% injectors, twin fuelers, 4in straight piped, Big Dipper trans with Percision TC, Idaho rob tunes.

Haven't seen that before... Will ATS replace it?

I haven't had any problems with the wheel yet, but my CP3 mount is cracked, one of these days I will weld it up. You might get lucky and they will replace it, but me experience with them is that their customers service sucks.

No warranty because I'm not the original buyer, I bought the kit used off of a guy on this forum. They said they have never seen this happen either but he said that they would give me a discount and help me out so we shall see, it just sucks I just forked out money for a new pump now this damn pulley. Guess it all goes with the gotta pay to play lol

Well you can do what you want, and I kind of understand the original owner policy.... BUT it's a frigging machined aluminum pulley, it should never break. I would give HSP or one of the other vendors on here my money...

There sending me a quote but I'm going to make some calls to sdp and hsp tomorrow, believe me I don't want to give them my money for another junk pulley that might do this again

OK, Im no metallurgist...and just a question...but maybe the anodizing process hardened the aluminum to a point where its brittle enough to crack under stress?
