I've been planning on upgrading to the '06/'07 hood and grille but have been in limbo on what to do with the front bumper. I spent most of today working on an '03 Silverado SS and it mostly has me convinced to do the SS front bumper. But then I was looking at the factory plastic side body moldings and rear bumper as well. I'm kind of intrigued to do the full SS kit. And to take things a little further it looks like I could take the side panels and slightly "extend" them out a bit. Just enough to line up with the outer edge of my tires to help keep rock chips down. Has anyone tried doing this? Does it sound like a good idea or do you all think it would turn out to 'ricey' lol

Here's the truck

I'm going to do a SS bumper when I get back to the states. Shipping up here is unreal for that kind of stuff. I was going to use aluminum tubing inside the shell instead of the factory bumper, heaven forbid I ever run into something with it lol.

is your truck a extended cab short bed Dustin? if its not, you wont be able to get the side skirts in the lengths you need IIRC.

a gal that works at our shop, her husband did this to a 04 ext/sb 1500 white truck. put all the side skirts on, the 20s, decals, everything to make you think its a SS but its not cause you couldnt get a white one in that year. he put "COPO SS" as the license plate just to screw with people lol

Damn! You got me there. Mine is an extended cab longbed. I didn't think about that. I'm not sure that my body skills (or lack of) could extend the bed pieces lol. I have a friend that's into fiberglassing so I wonder if this would be something they could make up. That is funny what your co-worker's husband did though!
