Ok guys, long time enthusiast, prior HP Tuners guy. I am looking for some starter input on making some conservative changes in my LMM tables (Maybe a 50-80hp tune for now). I understand how this works and search needs to be a friend etc... I have tried to do a bit of searching but its been hit or miss. Can anyone give me a bit of baseline input on what changes you made first and or why. I haven't seen much in the way of LMM "how to's" I realize no one is going to blindly give their intellectual property up but even a basic few tips would be nice... (injection % range, timing range, etc just to keep me out of trouble.)

So far I have the DPF and EGR deleted and throwing no codes, and have my vanes set to 20% at idle just for sound and cool down. Id like to work a bit more power into this thing... is there a good starting point on limiters, timing, and injection?

I appreciate any and all input!

I read/searched on this website and others everyday for months when i first purchased my v2 2-3 years ago and all the info was there to teach me how to tune a truck. There is more information now you just have to find it.

You need to download Josh H's timing calculator if you havent already. Start by adding SMALL percentages , like 5 to maybe 10 % at a time to main injection pulse above 40 mm3 .For timing start by running 50% injection before top dead center and 7 degrees minumum timing. Once you download that calulator you can enter your rail pressure and main injection pulse and it will tell you where your timing should be. you may have to smooth the timing tables out a little. Hopefully that gets you started. You may know this already but if not hopefully that helps a little.

Set up an account on EFI Live and subscribe to all the LBZ/LMM forum sections and few pertinent others, especially the software update section. You'll find some of the best tuners on occasion let out a little information and some smaller tuners as well.

I've learned enough to get me in trouble and even more on how to operate/troubleshoot the software that is not in the PDF files in the software and keep a spare older laptop just for my V2. Thefermanator has downloaded a bunch of stock tunes on the thetruckstop.us from LB7 to LML files and at least one LBZ and LMM modified tune.

One other suggestion, leave the transmission TCM tuning alone, one mistake and you're gonna have one big expensive door stop. I have two modified TCM tunes done by another member and have decided not to install.....
