any problems tuning a lb7 with six gun

so my friend john wants a small tune on his lb7. he's got the banks six gun installed. i figured i could put a small tune in with a low amount of timing to stack on his banks. now my question is do i have to disconnect his six gun before reading and flashing, or could i leave it connected?

Try it, you may get lucky. If it doesn't work, disconnect it. I've had it go both ways with module type boxes.

If it's a Banks PDA, you need to take it off the OBDII port anyhow.

Add about 10 deg timing, and about 400 microseconds of fuel to get started.

well just got done with his tune and all went well. i pulled the banks stuff off to read the ecm but hooked it back up when i flashed it. i did have some trouble reading the ecm, had to try about 6 times but i finally got it. he really seems to like the extra 50hp. i did the mods you suggested Pat and that was the ticket. very little smoke and much more bottom end especially when you start turning up the banks (it really smoothed out the power too) and now i see a built trans in his future, so i hope that Big Dipper will have some time to squeeze him in later on this year
