I've developed a no start problem after doing some work on truck (brake lines & batteries). I have a p1800 code (No communication with FICM) after basic tests, all data suggests replacing FICM. Did it and didn't work.
I just realized I didn't have power going to the inj fuse (I only checked if blown originally). For laughs I jumped Ign relay, fuse powered and fired within 3 sec of turning key. pulled jumper and stalled instantly.
Does anyone know what powers this relay? Could it be anti-theft of a bad ign switch? If anti theft, how do you disengage?

You should change the ignition switch-- many have had this problem. Easy 5 minute job-- just pull the lower cover from the steering column. The switch is righty there-- pull it down, as it is held in place with a couple plastic tabs. Have the key to "ON" , before you slide the new switch in place-- that way it should be indexed correctly.

Maybe try and disconnect both negative terminals for a while and then reconnect them. I've seen controllers go a little whacky sometimes just from disconnecting and reconnecting the batteries. Just a thought

I found the culprit. The Grey/ blk stripe wire going from inj relay to ecm was broken/corroded. From the looks of it, someone in the past poked a test light in the wire about an inch from ecm. There was a little green dot, and when I tugged on it, it broke right there. Soldered and shrink sleeved, she fired right up. Woo Hoo!
