Helping a friend get his boat running and having some issues with the shift cables. Its a sea-ray boat with a Mercruiser 3.0. He replaced the shift cables, but can't get them set right. It will go in forward, then not in reverse, or if we adjust it the other way it won't go in forward. I would think that there is a starting point on where to set them?
Any ideas, or places to look for help? Local dealers just want to charge us money and throw parts at it.
