I'm looking at buying a Artic Cat 700 Diesel for a pit bike instead of a golf cart. Has anybody heard any good or bad about them?

I have heard they have problems with them starting in cold weather, but my cold weather and yours are way different.:D Around here if its under 50* they start getting iffy, under freezing they have had trouble even when plugged in. But when it never drops below 60 like out there in CalE4ornia you should be fine.:D

Thanks for that info. Correct I doubt it would see 50 here. Unless Pat strats to go hunting again.

We are also going to be looking at the gas model.

GAS!!!! There'll be no more of that crazy talk around here. If you go out and buy you a Kawasaki Mule I can teach you how to turn it up though.:D

:D What ever we buy has to be no longer then 8ft. So it will fit sideways in front of the new trailer and be able to fix in and out the side door.

For a pit bike-that would be cool. In the bush..... I dunno.

My preference is suzuki and Honda but the Can-Am 800 is the one you would have the most fun with IMO. U could wheelie from one end of the track to the other as well.
LOL

Just ask Simon!

Arctic Cat is coming out with a 1000cc v-twin cyl this fall. I havnt heard much about the diesel's except that they are heavier than all the others. The 1000's may be heavier now also, I dont know. I have a 650 v-twin that I run the hell out of chasing cows and such that hasnt given me much problems at all.

I heard the 1000's can light the stock tires up in 2wd at will on pavement under 10 mph.

Rhino's are too long :( So was the cool ghost flame blue one.

Actually a quad makes more since esp. if I plan on buying a boat. Could use it to put it in the garage. My gauge angle sucks and can't use one of the trucks :(

If I buy a big quad I will have a jump seat mounted on the back for the hamsters :D
