another injector

well i know this has bin beaten to death but I'm asking for opinions. I talked my brother into buying a 02 lb7 to get him into diesels before he bought another p.o.s. . well he got a good deal on a non running truck yesterday and i got it running today but it has 1 bad injector on #8. motor has 100k on it and my question is do we change just one and roll the dice, or one bank, or all 8?

Nice to atleast do the bank while you in there. If the funds are there replace all 8 and be done with it.

I would do all 8 if the money is there, or at the least the whole bank.

Being that he will already be in the ''hard side'' to replace #8 I would really try and convince him to do the whole bank.

Believe me i did try. But he has more time than money and he is good mechanic so i don't think he minds

X3 minimum especially for the drivers side would be a that bank . the honest truch is if one is fialing the others are very close behind it usually .

i would bet by the time he is into it he will change his mind and do all 4 see he doesnt have to do it again:rofl:

I replaced #3 last Feb. Just had to replace #2 in May, they were all done once by GM back in Nov of 08. Hopefully mine don't keep dropping like they have been??? Good luck with it, I feel your pain.

I told him I will spot him the bread so he is going to do the bank now. what is the difference between the reman and new injectors and what is the going price?
