Last Tuesday took the LBZ to the track for the first time. First time on a drap strip in 18 years! Got in 6 runs and could have squeezed in a few more if it weren't for tweaking the tuning between rounds.

Anyhow, I was a little disappointed with the results. 60's averaged in the mid 1.8's, 1/4's averaged high 13.8's @ mid 95's, although the last run I did pull off a 13.75 @ 98.46. I was expecting low to mid 13's @ 100.

Got to log every run and have been going over them trying to make heads or tails of the data.

Some observations:
The 3-4 and 4-5 shifts really drop RPM to around 2400. Timing also drops substantially at these shifts. Gears 1-3 fly by, 4 and 5 are long drawn out affairs comparatively.

I ran the stock trans tune all night. I noticed when shifting over 3400 RPM the fueling really falls off fast. Could the stock torque limiting tables in the TCM be over riding my ECM tune? Would disabling D5197 (Torque Limit Request) disable TCM override and does this table affect defuel between shifts?

The CalTracs really help the truck get off the line.

Ran tire pressure @ 45 psi. Launches were all at 2200-2400. Truck seemed to come out of the hole OK. Not much if any tire spin.

Can't wait to go back!:D

I would assume your using EFI Live as your tuning software. If so, some users will chime in with their thoughts and tuning advice. But if not, PM psyco66, he has it and will be glad to help you out.

As for the runs, a 1.8 short is pretty good for having 45psi tires!!
