another clearance question

I have a 04.5 lly.. 2500HD ec/sb 4x4, stock suspension with the torsion bars cranked just enough to level it. The truck currently has 285/75r16s (factory wheels), i have a line on a set of 305/60r16s, has anyone ran these on a stock height truck? I would just like to get some info before i buy them and find out they dont fit. thanks!

I have them on a lowered 06 lbz only rub at full lock

im hoping your mean 305/ 70r16 cause a 60 would be shorter than the 285s your running. if so, thats what was on my truck before it was lifted looooong ago. bars were cranked to level and it would only rub the back inner fender if you had the wheels turned and hit a big bump. overall diameter is basically the same as your 285s but instead of a 11.00" wide tire, your up to a 12" wide.

yes i meant 70 lol oops.. and overall height goes from about 31.5 to 32.8

i have 305 70 16 on the ol ladys truck 07 lbz on some no name steel wheels but i bought the truck with them so im not sure what all was done as far as tbars im sure there just cranked up and it still has stock shocks heres a crappy pic sorry i dont have any close up shots and they rubbed a little bit when we first bought it but with some triming they dont anymore

throw a piece of rope around them and figure the actual diameter. its damn near the same.

Search the web for "NorCal fender mod" if you need some extra room for the bigger tires. :thumb:
