SO for the second time I pull a stock tune and upgrade the OS and do my script flash it in and get the flickering glow plug and check engine light and have to buy a wreck yard ecm. then I made sure and used the 6006 OS and use it and now the oil pressure gauge doesn't work, flash the stock one back in and the gauge work. why do we even still have that OS in the system that bricks these Ecm's? has cost me 500$ to date or so now.

Let me give you guys some solid advice straight from EFI-Live.

Any previously flashed LB7 or LLY that ever had a Bullydog on it is bad.

Start with a 100% clean and stock TIS read file.

Same as the early Cummins with a Smarty Stain, they brick ECM's.

The Twitchy/Flashy Tune is a specific 2002 OS.

Start with a clean, 100% virgin file.

Any LB7 file read with corrupted NVRam or BCC segment is forever hosed up.

What is the best way to flash an 02 then. The only time mj e ever wants to accept the flash is if it's flashed from my autocal through an efi laptop, a passthrough flash I guess it's called? Other than that I have nothing but trouble. Os there another way that works on the 02

Its not the OS that is the issue, I owned a 2002 Dmax, I exclusively use the 15186006 OS on all 2001 and 2002 LB7 tunes unless its a CTS then I use a different OS for the 2002, the 4441 OS IIRC.

Just start with a clean file, with no NVRAM corruption or anything else, a virgin file.

If you think any Duramax that old has never had a PPE or BD or Diablo flashed in or anything else and put back to stock unless its a grandpa truck that never has been tuned the file is no good for converting.
