I think i bent another pushrod, what can cause them to bend, its on a 06 lbz with longhorn efilive and i think it might have another programmer on it but guy i got it from said efi live cancelled it out or something.

Bent 1 pushrod on it and changed all of them out with merchant auto ones, the pushrods on the driver side had a small groove cut in them from rubbing on the head or block or gasket, not sure. Havent tore back apart but goin to probably this week. Only lasted about a 1000 miles tell now which sounds like it did when i bent one before. Any idea what would be my cause

Why would you leave a MP-8 plugged in when you have EFI?! Most them plug in modules just add timing and rail pressure, so it can be adding way too much timing!

It was like that when I bought it. gonna ppull the valve cover and see whats up, still trying to figure out what would cause pushrods to get a groove in them on drivers side.
motor seem to run good and sound good when it ran

Have the heads been machined before? Also running longhorn tunes is bad, running a module with it is worse

Throw the mp8 in the trash and get some new efilive tunes from somebody other than longhorn. Your lucky you havent bent rods or cracked a piston yet. Whatever your pushrods are rubbing on is probably causing your problem, they shouldn't hit anything.

can a head gasket be put on slightly wrong or something? it was weird it was only the driver side, these are solid lifters so I wouldnt think it was a lifter problem

If you have a lift the cab will be the way to go but the motor can be pulled in 3 and change hours.I have never done either for a head job but your back will pay the price,At least do studs and water pump while your there.
