Hey guys I have just recently joined the forum and I have to say its taken a while to get to this page.
Too busy reading about all the mods, tune and facts about Duramax engines amongst other things.Great forum by the way..... :thumb:

Anyway I am impatiently waiting to receive my LMM and Allison 6spd transmission. I will be retro fitting it myself and cant wait to get started.

I will do my best to keep you all posted with pics and updates....... did I mention I cant wait ?? !!!

Its probably because of a couple of those guys that I was inspired to do my own conversion.
Great to see that there is a good bunch of us here on DD.

Mate I have to say your truck is indirectly responsible for a major revolt at my house..... LOL

Instigated by me cause I saw your vid you posted!!!!

Let me give you the short of it, I won the argument ( me v:argue: WIFE ) and now I have a Dmax and ally on the way !!!!!!!!!! :chevy::happydance:

But then I had buy her another truck :ripped:

I still think Im in front......................... until somebody new to this forum suggested I fit my old engine and trans into her truck aaargh !!! LOL

Its ok though I still wear the pants in the house........ err when she gives them to me !!!

G'Day mate, I'm waiting on an LMM and 6 Speed Allison to arrive from the states as well, container should arrive in Perth in a couple of weeks. I'm putting them in a 96' 80 Series landcruiser. My mate is also doing the same conversion to his GU patrol.

It appears to be the best conversion to do and there seems to be alot getting done at the moment.

Absolutely, I got word last nite that mine is leaving early next week so I am expecting it in around 6 to 8 weeks.

how long has yours taken so far to make its way to you?

Been organised through someone else who is bringing in about motors and trans. Has been about 12 months in the waiting. I believe it is about a 6 week sail time with about 1 week at each end for customs etc.

Sounds good, I probably won't have mine completed until the second half of next year, I work away 5 weeks on, 5 weeks off so actual time available is limited.
