Ams oil 15w-40

Hew what kind of oil pressure y'all reading on yer trucks for those of you using amsoil 15w-40 off-road diesel oil? I'm down around the second little tick after the red zone at idle it either site tree or at 30psi, now I know the duramax's are a low oil pressure engine in general I just want to make sure I'm good. It runs fine and all I just don't want to have to worry about replacing the oil pump or whatnot and it's at the full mark of course.thanks guys! It's a 04 lb7 Cali engine incase that matters.

I have an 01 I run shell 15w40 im at 80 psi start up and never under 40. But im not using amsoil so I dont know if its different

That was in the parking lot at work idling, when I'm driving it stays between 40 and 60

What does it read driving at 2000rpm? FYI those gauges suck lol... Find someone with EFI Live and log oil pressure to get a better idea

If I can get this roof rack sold on the truck efi live will be installed ASAP, I mean it runs fine and everything I'm just being cautious it's right under 60psi when driving at 2k rpm

It should be 60psi at 2000rpm

I had a 02 lb7 and ran amsoil 15-40w and the oil pressure was at 80 runnin at hwy and idling around 40.

Mine dropped to just a tick over the red line and I checked the oil level and I was making oil. Drained the pan and took out 5 gallons. leaking injectors filled my oil pan. replaced the injectors. Then it had forty plus at idle and 60 plus at 2000 rpms. Need to replace an injector line but that's another story.

Found the problem, the guy who swapped my injectors must of forgot to tourque down a return line bolt or something, anyone know the specs on them?
