I have seen that a few of you have taken the amber lense out of the headlight and turn signal lenses. I was wanting to know how to do it. Or at least give me an idea of how to do it.

Amber Lenses In Lights

Stick lights in the oven to heat the silicone, pull the halfs apart, pull out the lense and reseal up. Not very difficult, just time consuming.
when i did my gmc lights i didn't do the oven thing. it will only make it easier though !!!
basicly seperate the 2 halves and seal it up real nicely when done !

bake at 375 for 10 minutes and keep the oven warm as you will probably need to put them back in again.Aheat gun would work too

375 is way too hot, around 200 is great for about 5-10 min, then use a knife to cut through the silicone, and spread the lenses apart

It was a couple years ago that I did them so I dont remember all the details
but I would make sure you seal them up GOOD!
Try not to scratch the silver plating on the inside or you will always see the scratch.
Try to not break the tabs this is where the heat is good
It took me a couple hours and I let the lights sit overnight for the silicone to dry.
I had a assortment of knife and small flat balade screwdrivers on hand.
heat gun would of been nice

Sorry I dont get around here much anymore.
Ya 200 degrees or so... hotter and it can sometimes bubble the chrome reflector. I used black RTV Silicone when Ive done them... Ive done 6 or 7 sets probably.
Looks MUCH better without the reflector!
