Who has one or has run one.

What has your experience been?

I have seen videos of it 'working' in jneals truck and trents truck and like what i see. But have also seen logs of it not working? I am really going to need some sort of lockup controller this year to try and push into the 11's and am trying to avoid spending a grand on an ATS copilot...

I have read a few threads about individuals experience but am wanting to hear more opinions and put together a collaborative thread.

Thanks guys!

FYI A Co-Pilot with just the external harness is way cheaper than the whole Package, but it will be more than 450$... If I was you i would just wire up a ground to the TCC wire to see if it works for you. If it does go with Braydens box.

I have however yet to hear of an LBZ that didn't work with Braydens box it seems to effect LLY's the most

You've already ordered one so this probably is irrelevant but did you look at the TS lock up box? I've never heard of anyone having one and wondered about them as I've never heard much.

Not sure on this Nick but I don't think the TCC wants the "full voltage" of a grounded wire, and won't be good for the long term use. Could very well be wrong on that though

EDIT: plus having a switch won't be good for racing, you'd have to lock it once you've left the line and that doesn't sound like the most consistent thing on the track

Guys have been running a ground to their TCC wire for YEARS i never said it was the best thing to use rather test it out to see if it works then Braydens box should work... Braydens Box did not work on my truck ONCE the way it was advertised. The Co-Pilot works plain and simple and i do not have the solenoid to internal harness so from my experience unless you want the co-pilot to handle your shifts i suggest you go the route i went.

Looking at Trents log it didn't exactly LOCK, the converter was coupling just like it should be but there was no obvious proof that it worked either.

You using the software to change the settings?

I could never get Braydens software to properly communicate with my laptop... I don't see how changing the settings will make any difference? The parameters are already set to give the lockup command before 30mph

yeah, lockup is not consistent. communicating fine between the laptop and the box.

i have a pwm switch that is being built for me to test if this does not work out.

Ya I'm not sure how some guys have gotten "AMAZING" best shop ever service and most everyone I have talked with says the exact opposite.

it was no track test but i used it at the sled pull last week and it locked up at the right place per my tcc led.

(i am still getting my new windows 7 laptop set up and could not get the logging going in time) next one will have logs though. this week and next week i am going to be assembling and swapping out my new motor (yep its finally ready to be picked up!)

so i will post back with my track results

Not saying it dosen't work or not but if the tires are spinning it seems that the trucks lock up. When on the pavement hooked up and all power is going through the drive train is when they seem to not lock when it should.
