Ok this is mostly for Mike L. But feel free to throw in your 2 cents.

My (Wife's:rofl: ) 07 is the first auto trans I have ever owned. I like it a lot. I want to make sure I stay as happy with it as I am right know. This year it will be towing around the pulling truck. Which means gross weight combo of nearly 24000lbs. What are the best things I can do to help my trans live long and happy? I am not planning on building a trans or tuning up the LBZ. I already have one hole in the garage to throw money in!:D I was thinking a deep pan and a better cooler would be a good idea. What do you think?

Don't lie to yourself:D you know its getting a turbo, dual cp3's, a Mike L tranny, and a big tune. LOL im sure a deep pan and a cooler would help the longevity of your tranny.

Transgo Jr, deep Allison steel pan with filter lock, TranSynd or equivalent and maybe a cooler. My new C3 oiler will be a must for everyone and is installed from the outside.

Thanks Mike L
Why a steel pan? Durabilty? Filter lock never heard of that. Sounds like a good idea. The C3 thing sound cool. Go in place of the PTO cover?

Filter lock holds the internal filter in place. It tends to work its way out with the deep alli pans.
