Hey guys what a night !! Well I ended up picking up a used tranny with apparently 60000ks on its rebuild , just to get the truck going while I either rebuild the old one myself or send it out, amywYs I've seen that when replacing one of these beauties it needs a relearn??? Is there a process I can do or should it be dealer? Thanks in advance

02 Sierra 538 000kms , e shift Valve was sticking and I had tons of clutch material in pan, you said rebuild , so I got a scrap yard trans and rebuild original later , this newer one apparently has 60000 Kms on a rebuild , just don't exactly understand the relearn process, like will it drive still with out? Complete newbie with tech on trans

So basically it needs the relearn done, which in my case is dealership cause I don't know anyone with a good scanner

Doing the relearn and fast learn procedure will always make the Allison as good as it can be. Without doing it; it may never achieve what it should be.
